Join Us

Allies commit to completing the training and then meeting with their Leaders at least twice a month for 18 months.

Spanish speaking ability is helpful but not required to be a compañero.

For those who are unable to become an ally, there are still many ways to volunteer and contribute to our various events and activities!  

Our Getting Ahead Class provides knowledge and practical skills in subjects of poverty, social structures, personal economics, civic resources, and leadership development. We are always looking for Volunteer speakers or workshop leaders who have experience or specialized knowledge in one of these areas.

We love food! Who doesn't love food? Meals are a regular part of San Jose Bridge Communities get-togethers and Getting Ahead classes, which occur weekly and monthly. Volunteers contribute to these events by providing food and/or meal supplies on a regularly scheduled basis or for one time events.

Partners and the relationships between them are why Bridge Communities exists.
